Nelson Mandela's Condition Worsens

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 22-year-old man, Babajide Bashorun, for allegedly kidnapping a female undergraduate of the University of Lagos, Akoka, and raping her.

The police said Bashorun, a dog breeder, did not only rape his victim, he also took snapshot of her nudity, which he allegedly posted on the Internet.

Court Grants Speaker Ikuforiji, Aide N1b Bail Each

On Monday, June 24, the Federal High Court in Lagos granted bail of one billion naira with two sureties to Speaker Adeyemi Ikuforiji of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Justice Ibrahim Buba gave the bail conditions at Ikuforiji's re-arraignment over alleged misappropriation and laundering of N773.3 million.

He said that the sureties were in the sum of N500 million each.

Musiliu Ishola Arrested For Murder

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested Musiliu Haruna-Ishola, a musician and son of late apala singer, Haruna Ishola.
The command also arrested a corporal for the death of a tout, Mustapha Daramola, in Ijora area of the state.

It was learnt that trouble started when Musiliu went to perform at a ceremony at 22 Aro Street, Ijora Badia, Lagos on June 8, 2013.

BN: How long did the two of you date and how would you describe the relationship?
YN: We dated for 7 to 8 months. We had something and I thought it was special, like he was a wonderful guy but it was all lies. He had other girls and other things he was doing. Aside the actress that was in the picture, there were a lot more. That is how bad it is. We were in a relationship and he lied throughout and he was able to do all those things because I wasn’t living in Nigeria. But aside from the distance, I feel if you’re a genuine person and you’re loyal, you would still not do that.

BN: Is this actress you’re talking about actually Tonto Dikeh?
YN: I feel it’s disrespectful to start mentioning other people’s names. I am talking about Iyanya because we had a thing, I don’t want to bring in a third person. There were a lot of names that people know. There was a girl from South Africa, I’m not going to mention names but she was part of Big Brother Africa last year.
